French NF Laws – the truth

The law requiring a personal use alcohol breathalyser to be placed with your vehicle has been repealed as of December 24th 2019.

Any listing stating that this is a requirement is falsely making this claim.

However, the French limit is significantly lower than the English limit with much harsher penalties, it will remain advisable to carry a breathalyser to test yourself while driving in France to avoid unintentionally drink driving.
